  • Peaceworks Rush Hour Demonstration

    All are invited to participate in weekly Rush Hour Demonstrations held each Wednesday from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at the intersection of Broadway & Providence. Signs and banners on all timely issues are welcome, including, but not limited to: healthcare concerns, the Muslim travel and refugee bans, climate change, war and peace, tax & budget concerns, race, gender and other equality concerns, etc.

    Please come for any portion of the time you can. Bring your own signs if you’d like. We will have some signs and banners available. Anchored by Peaceworks every Wednesday since 2001. All are welcome.

  • Climate Action Education: Reducing Food Waste

    Wednesday, September 26, Columbia Climate Action Education Series Continues, 7 PM, Boone County Commission Chambers, "Reducing Food Waste"

    Where: Boone County Commission Chambers, Boone County Government Building, 8th and Ash, Enter from Courthouse Plaza

    A changing climate has significant implications for food production. In addition wasted food is wasted greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions at this point in time. For both reasons, our society and community needs to reduce food waste. Plan to attend this informative event.
